I am looking for a lower back tattoo design with a cross and some design on either side but cant find one help

I already have a tattoo on my foot and I work in the nursing field so have to place the tattoo in a place that is not seen.

I am in a relationship for the past 5 years and my bf loves the idea of a lower back tattoo.

I would say to make a trip to the shop you would like to have the tattoo done at and speak with the artist you would like to do it for you. They are artists after all and are more then willing to draw things up for you. Hell they’ll even fix what you don’t like about em without complaining. They know its going on your body and you need to love it. :) Just have a decent idea about what kind of cross you’d like and what sort of design (if it matters because you can always tell them whatever they think would look best with that kind of cross) you would like on either side.

Why Women Opt For Tattoo Designs For The Lower Back

On the body of a woman there are some places which can be regarded as sensual. Although this varies with different cultures, many regard as being the most delicate zones as the nape of the neck and the infamous lower back. That being indicated, it is really not difficult to see why lower back tattoos became so popular during the years.

Although the women have several sectors for tattoos, the lower back is one of the most erotic and sensual place women can obtain tattoos. Lower back tattoos are easy to hide as well, which is preferable for those which are not allowed to have tattoos in the workplace. With the difference from other parts of the body, the lower back is completely covered by a shirt. With the lower back - you can show the tattoo when you want.

Due to the simplicity of being able to hide or show, lower back tattoos has helped to increase popularity, as well as the desire, or the sensuality. Normally, these tattoos are made around the waist. While part of it can be hidden, it can also be said that part of it can show as well.  For loved ones, a tattoo on the lower back can be very sensual and sexual, a secrecy which is shared only between the two.

The various designs and form of the tattoo often increase the look and the appeal of the whole lower back area. The tattoo design is normally small and not very curved deeply which enables it to adapt perfectly to the curves of the woman’s back and hips. Lower back tattoos assists to accentuate a part of the female anatomy which is well-known for its sensuality.

The popular designs for lower back tattoos include flowers, vines, and stars. The designs with wings of a creature function good as well, because the wings of the monster can stretch across the whole lower back area. The lower back is a great sector for tattoos - giving you the unlimited possibility to employ your imagination.

Although there are many options and designs available, you should always choose one to which you can appreciate for the remainder of your life. You should always take into account a design, and not select something just because it’s popular at the moment. Instead of that, you should examine the thought and the significance of the tattoo and to decide if it is something you can be seen with for the remainder of your life. The significance behind a tattoo is important, now and later on in life. When you look at designs, you should always select one that stands out to you.

Should Tattoos Be On Women?

I came across an article in the Sky News Wire about tattoos for women.

It was interesting because it pointed out how long tattooing has been around and culturally the reasons behind some tattoos on women.

Like in Borneo, women would tattoo themselves to show what they were skilled at, such as weaving or the gatherer of medicinal herbs.  This communicated their rank as marriage material.

In western Asia, girls were tattooed in such a way as to show their place in society.

In the last 20 years, approximately 50% of all tattoos are now done on women.  Particularly, soccer moms and professional women aged between 18 to 40.

Tattooing despite being banned many times in different cultures for periods of time, it still appears that it will never go away.

With the world of freedom of expression, it’s no wonder tattoos are becoming more popular among the lower backs of many women, ankles, forearms and anywhere else on the body.

Let’s not forget the celebrities getting in on the action too, such as, Pamela Anderson, Christina Applegate, Victoria Beckham and Angelina Jolie.

Just remember, to take your time to choose the right design and make sure you deal with a reputable shop.

Tattoos On Women With A Religious Meaning

I came across an article in the Star Tribune about a university student called Melanie, who bears two tattoos.

What’s unusual about that? I hear you say.  Well to most of you nothing  much but to the Jewish community, it might well be a different story.

You see, traditional Jewish law bans tattoos, based on Leviticus 19:28 and the fact that tattoos also ties back to the Holocaust.

However, increasing numbers of younger Jews are embracing tattoos, which have shed many of their negative stereotypes.  They no longer are considered the purview of bikers, convicts and drunken servicemen.  Instead they have found a foothold in the under 30 set.

They have gone from being outlaw symbols to fashion statements!

So for Melanie, a young Yewish girl herself, was it right for her to ignore her parents and her culture?

I don’t think so, because her tattoos have a lot of symbolism.  Her first tattoo is an olive branch wreath that incorporates the Star of David.  Her second tattoo is her name in Hebrew with the date of her bat mitzvah and a tribute to her late grandparents.

You can see Melanie’s tattoos and read her full story here.

Perceptions Of Tattoos On Women

I came across an interesting article in The Urbanite Magazine about people’s perception of tattoos on women.

Do people really think that tattoos on women mean they are circus freaks, drug addicts, biker chicks or whores?

Here are a few stories from women with tattoos.

When Michele Stuart-Johnson came home with her first tattoo twenty years ago, her mother gasped. “You look like a ruffian,” she said.

Shamia Johnson’s spouse thinks multiple tattoos on women—including hers—“are unladylike.”

Trai Dagoucon was inked for nearly a decade before either of her parents caught a glimpse of her tattoos. Both were appalled, for different reasons. “The only people who had tats in her world were bikers and wrong-side-of-the-tracks-type people,” Trai says of her Southern mother. For her Asian father: “It’s gangsters.”

I’m quite amazed how Trai managed to keep her tattoos hidden for so long!!

Tattoos on women do mean more to them than what people think, it can mean beauty, identity and power to name a few.

Tattoo artist Johnny Love has inked far more women than men is his decade in the industry.  What better way to sum up tattoos on women is what he says “It’s art that’s living and breathing, it’s inside your skin cells. It’s not just hanging on walls.”

Still, relationships inspire many tattoos on women.

Shamia got her grandparents’ names tattooed on her ring finger. She says, “They were married for sixty-six years when my grandmother passed. I did it for luck.” Apparently, it worked; she has since remarried.

Other reasons for tattoos on women can be an expression of ethnic bonding, coming to terms with “culturally enigmatic” ethnicity and celebrating life passages.

Tatouages Papillon | Butterfly Tattoos (video remix)

Butterfly tattoos are primarily female tattoos and they come in a great variety of shapes and sizes. Insects are not the most popular tattoo design, except for butterflies and dragonflies. Butterfly tattoos are the 4th most popular tattoo design, after tribal, star and cross tattoos and they are probably the most popular feminine design.
