I would say to make a trip to the shop you would like to have the tattoo done at and speak with the artist you would like to do it for you. They are artists after all and are more then willing to draw things up for you. Hell they'll even fix what you don't like about em without complaining. They know its going on your body and you need to love it. Just have a decent idea about what kind of cross you'd like and what sort of design (if it matters because you can always tell them whatever they think would look best with that kind of cross) you would like on either side.

Best of luck and hey don't fret, the rib cage tattoo and the chest pieces are also being called the tramp stamp now so eff anyone who says that to ya. Haha.

don't listen to those two guys. draw one yourself, its what i did. then you are sure to have more meaning to it. and guys- very shallowminded. i have been with one guy and one guy only and i'm 22, stereotyping is mean. i could call you two... oh wait, i already did. girly get something you know you will love to look at

stick with something that is cute
and or is in a better place

Maybe an anklet type tattoo? Those are the prettiest. You know, one that wraps all the way around. If you just want one on the side, then maybe a butterfly, or something feminine like that. But it really is YOUR tattoo, so you need to get something YOU want. That way you'll still like it years down the road.

You could go for a snake or chinese dragon that wraps all the way around.
I find that the small ones end up looking like bruises unless you look closely
If your going to do it do a reasonable sized one

best thing to do is wait, wait until you know what you want, its a life long commitment and its not something which you should rush into, take your time to decide what you would like and take time to go round and see different tattoo parlours, make ure they are clean etc.

i found a flower i liked & then had a trail designed it wraps round my ankle & goes down onto my foot
